WHAT IS YOUR SHOOTING AND EDITING STYLE?

Blending both editorial and candid, documentary photography, my approach as a visual storyteller includes practicing the art of noticing and documenting moments as they unfold. I use emotive + playful prompts that allow me to document your true personalities and emotions. My work can be described as romantic, earthy, editorial, timeless, nostalgic, moody, modern, emotional. I do include intentional motion blur and grain in some photos. My editing style is true to color with a touch of warmth and a tad of de-saturated greens/yellows.

where are you located/do you travel?

I am located in northern Indiana and frequent several midwest locations including southwest Michigan, Indianapolis, Chicago, and South Bend. I love exploring new places and am available for worldwide travel. All sessions and weddings greater than 45 miles from my home are subject to travel fees which may include mileage, lodging and meals. Specific travel fees are determined on a case by case scenario.  

HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY PHOTOS?

All weddings and sessions are delivered via digital gallery.  Your photos are carefully sorted through and hand selected for editing by me. The full editing process takes 8-12 weeks. You can download all of your hi-res JPG edited images from the gallery and order high quality professional prints directly from your gallery. A wood flash drive may be purchased separately.

RAW photos are not delivered to clients. A photographer delivering a RAW photo would be like a baker delivering a cupcake without frosting and sprinkles. Furthermore, RAW photos can only be opened and viewed with professional software such as photoshop, camera raw, etc. 

WHAT KIND OF EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE AND how do you keep our photos safe?

I use mirrorless Canon camera bodies and lenses. My camera bodies have a dual card slot so I have two copies of your precious photographs when I click my shutter. One card is placed in my fireproof safe when I return home and stays there until I deliver your digital gallery. The second copy is uploaded to an external hard drive, which is then backed up to a cloud storage service called Backblaze. While editing, I have your photos in three different locations. Your photos will be archived for one year following your gallery delivery date. After that, it is up to you to keep your photos safe! I recommend copying your photos to multiple sources as mentioned above.

what if we have to cancel or Reschedule? 

The retainer is non-refundable. however, it can be transferred to a new date within 18 months of your original date (as long as I'm available). If I am physically unable to attend your wedding due to a catastrophic event, I would reach out to my local photographer network to find a replacement. If I was unable to find a replacement, you would receive a full refund, including your retainer. 

what's the benefit of adding a second photographer?

 highly recommend adding a second photographer to couples who will not be doing a first look and/or a guest count over 150. While I photograph the couple with their family and bridal party after the ceremony, the second photographer will photograph guests at cocktail hour and reception details. While I photograph couples portraits during golden hour, they are photographing guests dancing. A second photographer is also a form of insurance. 

do you offer albums or artwork?

I sure do! I offer museum grade quality heirloom albums along with several other tangible keepsakes. 

WE WANT TO WORK WITH YOU, HOW DO WE BOOK?

A signed contract and 35% of your package total is due at booking as a non-refundable retainer fee. If you know you want to work with me but aren't sure which collection you'd like to go with, you may put $1,000 towards your retainer fee to secure your date and decide on your collection within 14 days. I accept Venmo, Zelle, or check via mail for payment. The remaining balance is due 30 days before your wedding.
